bildtec's BTEC 100 substructure system is designed and engineered for application onto poured concrete structural walls, concrete block and brick masonry substrates. PANEL FASTENING METHODS
The BTEC 100 substructure system can be utilized with bildtec's specially designed fastening clips to provide mechanical connections for Porcelain Stoneware Panels. bildtec's panelbond structural adhesive is also applied to provide additional reinforcement and to eliminate panel vibration. The number of mechanical connections will depend on the size of the panel and regional wind-load conditions.
The mechanical fastening system is ideal for Low-Rise, Mid-Rise and Hi-Rise building structures.
Porcelain Stoneware Panel sizes that can be used vary from 300 mm x 300 mm to as large as 1200 mm x 1200 mm for a square format and 300 mm x 600 mm to 600 mm x 1200 mm for a rectangular format.
bildtec's fastening clips are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate various panel thicknesses.
BSC-K10 stainless steel clips are designed specifically for Kerfed Porcelain Stoneware Panel thicknesses of 10 mm to 12 mm.
BSC-K14 stainless steel clips are designed specifically for a Kerfed Porcelain Stoneware Panel thickness of 14 mm.
BSC-K20 stainless steel clips are designed specifically for a Kerfed Porcelain Stoneware Panel and Natural Stone thickness of 20 mm.
The Bonded fastening system employs bildtec's BSC-SA series stainless steel supporting clips in addition to bildtec's PanelBond structural adhesive and BTEC 1000 series cushion strip. The number of supporting clips will depend on the size and thickness of the panel.
